Neighbor finds toddler who wanders from home

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   A 3-and-a-half-year-old girl reported missing in Chocolay Township has been found safe and sound.

Township Police received a call Wednesday afternoon that the child had wandered away from her home.

Michigan State Police, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community assisted in the search. Shortly after they were called out, Chocolay Police received a call from a neighbor about 0.3 miles from the home. He said the child was in his yard playing.

Officers reunited the toddler with her parents.
